Deaf Ear Opened
Recently my wife and I led a team of college students on a 3 week mission trip to Peru. While we were there we saw numerous miracles, healings, and salvations. One night I had a word of knowledge that God wanted to open a deaf left ear. So I gave the word of knowledge and a lady came forward who had a deaf right ear. We prayed and her ear immediately opened. Later that night my wife was praying for a man who had a deaf left ear. She prayed for him and his ear also opened up right away! Two deaf ears in one night….thats a good night!!!!
Personal Salvation
I wasn’t a Christian when I came to Encounter, but through gentle encouragement from my step-mother I started going to Sundays (to New Creation Church). Eventually (to be more with my age group) I started going to the Encounter services Terrelle preached at. Needless to say when he was finishing up the message, I felt the call/conviction and when he made an altar call I went up, Terrelle prayed for me and through God’s grace I decided I was gonna serve the Lord. Best decision ever!
Healed Ankle
My ankle had been sprained a week earlier and hadn’t improved over the course of the week, I couldn’t run (I tried before I went up to recieve a healing to test it). So I ended up going to recieve prayer from brother Anthony, well needless to say though it was not a complete healing the ankle ended up significantly improving because afterwards I was able to run on it/ jump on it etc..I was amazed..Praise God!!
Set Free From Drug Addiction
I grew up knowing god is real and if I gave my life to god I would be happy and complete. But I also believed satan lies that drugs and women would make me feel happy and complete. So from ages 10 to 20 I was addicted to all sort of substances and also was involve in at least one sexual relationship at all times. This had great negative affects in my life. At age 15 I was told to quit smoking or you will be off the basketball team. The devil whispered ” you did it wrong, if you’re more careful you won’t get caught”. Soon after I was kicked off the team. These types of choices continued with more severe consequences. For example loss of a full ride scholarship for football due to not being able to play football my senior year, shortly after that I was kicked out of my house by my parents, failed college , and finally got a girl pregnant. At that point I had been to 5 treatment centers including Teen Challenge. I knew I had a problem that only God could solve but was unwilling to fully surrender. After my beautiful son was about 9 months old my wonder girlfriend and mother of my son was through with my lying and drug addiction. At that point I faced a massive decision. Drugs or family. Again I picked drugs and kicked my son and my girlfriend out, the devil had twisted my mind to blame her for my increasing addiction. So there I was alone for the first time in my life. I was 4 hours from home and I had no real friends and I was miserable. So I did what any drug addicted would do I went full force into anything I could get my hands on.
This is were it all changes I realized that drugs don’t complete you but they empty you. So I knew I needed treatment and I was on the fence on whether to surrender to God or not. It was the day before I was going to be checked into treatment I had meeting with my lawyer (I was in a bit of legal trouble) during our meeting I informed him I am checking my self into treatment. At that point he informed me he has been sober for 20 years. He then made a life changing statement “This getting clean thing is simple, its 98 percent God and 2 percent you.” With those words my heart and and head were changed I understand the choice I need to make and made it right there.
The following day I surrendered to Jesus and waged war against drugs and sexual sin.
During treatment I became a different man through reading and living the Bible. I became filled with love I began pouring that out into others in treatment. I started a bible study and began bringing people to church and trying to live as an example of gods grace and love. God has marked my life for ministry and has given me a heart to train boys of all ages into the men God designed them to be.
Today I have been sober for almost 2 years I have a wonderful wife and 2 amazing boys, Jesus gave my family an amazing miracle when He made my life into something I never thought possible. I am not perfect and have a lot growing to do but I know with Gods help, I will grow into the husband, father and man God wants me to be.

Jesus Is Changing My Life
Even as a newbie in my faith I wasn’t much of a reader, most of it can from headlines on ESPN. However as I have grown in my faith through the guidance of the Lord I actually love to read now and am downing the books like crazy. I never thought I could enjoy reading or for that matter read many deep books. And now I do, Crazy Love, Radical, Mere Christianity, Confessions, to name a few and I am thankful to God for opening that door because only though Him would that have been possible.
